Sedona Household Hazardous Waste

The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors and the City of Sedona are pleased to announce a free household hazardous waste and electronics collection event on Saturday, October 7, 2023, 8:00AM - Noon. This event is for all residents within Sedona city limits and unincorporated Yavapai County only. Please be prepared to show a driver’s license and one utility bill as proof of residence.

The following waste is accepted:

  • aerosol paints and spray products
  • antifreeze
  • batteries (except for lead acid or any other vehicle battery)
  • desktop and laptop computers
  • radios
  • phones
  • e-readers
  • mp3 players
  • game systems
  • gasoline
  • household cleaners
  • kerosene
  • light bulbs
  • pesticides
  • pool chemicals
  • standard grill and camping propane tanks
  • oil-based paints
  • stains
  • solvents, thinners and adhesives

The following waste is not accepted: ammunition, fireworks, car or other vehicle batteries, commercial business waste, compressed gas cylinders other than propane, explosives, latex paint, medical waste or prescription drugs, motor oil, oil filters, radioactive materials (including smoke detectors), televisions of any kind, tires of any kind, any other material or item not listed on the accepted list.
