Supervisor Brooks Compton

At the 2025 Board of Supervisors meeting Vice-Chairman Compton was selected to Represent the Board on the Public Safety Retirement Board and as the Yavapai Firewise (Prescott Area Wildland Urban Interface Commission) Representative.

Brooks Compton’s love for Yavapai County started in the ‘60’s when he would spend summers with grandparents in Prescott enjoying softball games downtown then walking across the street to Baskin Robbins for mint chocolate chip ice cream.  He moved here full-time about a decade ago with his son to get back to the quality of life he grew up with.

Brooks is passionate about protecting Yavapai County from the damage which comes from unplanned and unbridled growth, overuse of water resources, and unchecked development.

Brooks is an engineer by trade -- with several automotive engineering patents – and he has been building and racing cars and motorcycles since the age of 15!

Brooks was elected County Supervisor in 2024 and is now serving his first term.
