Land Use & Code Enforcement Unit

The Land Use Unit is charged with the compliance and enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance as well as other related Yavapai County rules and regulations. At this time, Land Use Unit enforcement is strictly complaint-based. The unit reviews for compliance of zoning clearances, building permits, use permits, zoning map changes, subdivisions, liquor licenses, and exemption uses. The unit also handles and presents all requests for violations and appeals of interpretive decisions by the Hearing Office. Hearing Officers hear all appeals, resolve administrative disputes, facilitate negotiations between opposing parties, and issue legal decisions.
