Roads Division

The Roads Division provides for the maintenance of county road systems; approx. 800 miles of paved and 800 miles of unpaved roads for a total of approx. 1600 miles.

Funding comes from two sources.

1. Local Roads are funded by the Highway User Revenue Fund (HURF); gas tax and vehicle license fees.
2. Regional Roads are funded by a portion of the half cent sales tax.

Note: The Roads Division does not receive its funding from state sales taxes or local property taxes.
