Permit Information

This information is provided as a public resource for general information purposes only. It is used to locate, identify and inventory building permits in the unincorporated areas of Yavapai County for informational purposes only and is NOT to be used as a legal document. Permit information and plot plan may not be available if the parcel number has been changed after the application date of the permit or if the permit date is prior to September 2000. Searches are valid for CURRENTLY ACTIVE PARCEL NUMBERS only. Every attempt has been made to link historical permits to their currently active parcel number, however, accuracy cannot be guaranteed. No portion of the information should be considered or used as a legal document. Please contact the Development Services Office should you have questions regarding permit records. The information is provided subject to the express condition that the user knowingly waives any and all claims for damages against Yavapai County that may arise from the use of this data. Impact Fees

The impact fee was repealed December 1, 2020 per Yavapai County Ordinance 2020-1(PDF, 104KB).

Preliminary Code Review Policy

A Preliminary Code Review meeting is highly recommended prior to the submission of the permit application on a commercial project. Preliminary Code Review meetings enable applicants to meet with various county departments and other applicable jurisdictions to review and discuss proposed developments. The meeting also provides feedback and direction to the applicants before detailed design drawings are submitted. The applicant must submit for the Preliminary Code Review Application online through our Citizen Serve permit portal here and any documents per the attached Preliminary Code Revied Plan Submittal Criteria.

Permit Fees

Permit fees are based upon the size and type of your construction and are calculated according to adopted fee and valuation schedules. Fees are established during the review process. To estimate your building permit fees, please use the Permit Cost Estimate Sheet(PDF, 296KB). Accepted forms of Payment are: Check, Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Cashier’s Check and Money Order.

How is my permit processed?

Application Extension

Adopted Yavapai County Building/Zoning codes allow an extension of a building/zoning clearance permit application if there is a request for an extension submitted in writing, and justifiable cause demonstrated. The extension, if granted, can be for a maximum of 180 days (6 months). Application Extension Request Form(PDF, 50KB)

Building Permit Extensions

Building codes adopted by Yavapai County allows up to two (2) extensions on a building permit as long as there is a request for an extension. The extensions shall be in writing prior to permit expiration and with justifiable cause demonstrated. The extension, if granted, can be for a period of up to 180 days (6 months) each.
