The Yavapai County Recorder’s Office holds the distinction of being the first county in Arizona to introduce this program. Collaborating closely with legislators, we successfully advocated for its implementation across all 15 counties. As you correctly pointed out, we are obligated to accept documents for recording if they adhere to statutory requirements.
Michelle Burchill, County Recorder, has been actively participating in numerous stakeholder meetings involving key players in the real estate and landownership sectors, assessors, title companies, and the Attorney General's Office. Despite their collective efforts, finding a definitive solution to this issue remains a challenge. Their office's current capability is to provide notifications alerting you when a document has been recorded under the names you specified during the application process.
