This educational initiative aims to provide Yavapai County residents with an insightful understanding of their government's inner workings, fostering open communication channels, and offering clarity on how County services impact citizens' daily lives.

Applicants seeking to attend the Citizens Academy must complete the application process online at YavapaiAZ.GOV. Throughout the course, participants will engage with the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, County leaders, and fellow citizens in a collaborative and informative manner. By course completion, participants will possess an enhanced understanding of the structural framework and operations of various County departments that contribute to community well-being.

The Citizens Academy is free of charge and open to Yavapai County residents aged 18 or older.

It's important to note that the applicants for the Citizens Academy should be able to attend a minimum of 7 of the 8 classes. These classes are not intended for political debates, but rather to encourage questions and facilitate learning.
