The Yavapai County CJCC serves as a collaborative advisory body that convenes leaders from across the criminal justice system to promote coordination, improve system performance, and address shared challenges. While the CJCC does not set policy or make operational decisions, it plays a vital role in fostering dialogue, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting evidence-informed practices.

Council members include representatives from law enforcement, the judiciary, prosecution, public defense, clerk of the court, detention, probation, and community organizations. Through structured discussion, data review, and cross-agency engagement, the CJCC provides strategic guidance and facilitates consensus on issues impacting public safety and justice system effectiveness.

By advancing transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement, the CJCC helps ensure that Yavapai County’s justice system remains responsive to community needs.
