Adoption of 2024 Building Codes

We are pleased to announce that the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors has approved the 2025 Ordinances Adopting the 2024 International Building Codes and other codes, as amended, which include the following:

• Ordinance 2025-3: 2024 International Building Code

• Ordinance 2025-4: 2024 International Residential Code

• Ordinance 2025-5: 2024 International Plumbing Code

• Ordinance 2025-6: 2024 International Mechanical Code

• Ordinance 2025-7: 2024 International Fuel Gas Code

• Ordinance 2025-8: 2023 National Electric Code

• Ordinance 2025-9: 2024 International Property Maintenance Code

• Ordinance 2025-10: Yavapai County Grading Ordinance

• Ordinance 2025-11: 2024 International Existing Building Code

• Ordinance 2025-12: 2024 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code

• Ordinance 2025-13: 2012 International Energy Conservation Code
  
  

The above ordinances will be effective January 1^st, 2026.  As of January 1^st, 2026, all submitted permit documents must comply with the above codes as amended and adopted by the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors under the 2025 Ordinances.
