Yavapai County Has a New Facilities Director

After an illustrious tenure of over 30 years as Director of Facilities, Kenny VanKeuren has made the decision to step down from his role, and we extend our best wishes for a fulfilling retirement ahead. During this time, Brandon Shoults, the Yavapai County Facilities Assistant Director, has been standing in Kenny's shadow, carefully observing, and learning from one of the finest in the field.  On July 17, 2023, Brandon Shoults was selected to be the next Yavapai County Facilities Director.

Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Chairman James Gregory said, “It has been great working with both Kenny and Brandon over the past few years. Watching Brandon shine, as he took the primary leadership role in the construction of the new Justice Center, is one of the reasons why he was wisely selected for this important position.  Kenny’s leadership skills as the Facilities Director are legendary, and he will be missed.”

Brandon Shoults said, “Working with Kenny over the past five years has provided me with an amazing opportunity to watch and learn from the successes and challenges faced by this great mentor.  I am thankful for the opportunity I have had to work alongside him.”

Having been part of the Yavapai County team for a decade, Brandon's journey began as a CAD Specialist in the Facilities Department. Prior to joining Yavapai County, he worked as a Civil Design and Planning Specialist and holds an Associate's Degree in Civil Drafting from the Universal Technical Institute College in Maricopa County, Arizona.
