How do I get my road classified as a county maintained road?

Public roadways of Yavapai County may be added to the official road inventory if established, engineered, and constructed to current county roadway design standards, recommended for approval by the Public Works Director and approved for maintenance by the Board of Supervisors.

For a road to be considered by the Board of Supervisors for adoption and maintenance the cost of the improvement is the sole responsibility of the developer or property owners for that area. Funding can be accomplished voluntarily within a community or the formation of an improvement district (resulting in an assessment) may be the most appropriate method to use for road improvement.
