The budget process at Yavapai County has been well underway! Over the past month, the Board of Supervisors has reviewed, in detail, the recommendations provided by County Management and the Budget team. As the fiduciary for Yavapai County taxpayers, the Board also invested in four days of study sessions during the week of April 27th, with recordings available here (LINK). During these sessions, Supervisors engaged in a presentation that provided an overview of the Recommended Budget and met with all County Departments. After learning more about operations and requests, raising questions, and holding productive discussions, the Board has been providing direction on items for the budget. (CLICK HERE FOR THE MEETING VIDEO) In the next few weeks, a Tentative Budget will be compiled and will go to the Board of Supervisors on July 1, 2026, for their vote. If the Tentative Budget is adopted as proposed, taxpayers will see a flat tax rate applied to their County and Library District levies, while the Flood Control District will have a decreased tax rate.
