Mission Statement:
Yavapai County is committed to developing modernized Zoning & Subdivision Codes that promotes responsible growth, protects, and preserves the County’s rural community character, and enhances overall quality of life through transparent, equitable, and efficient land use regulations.
Introductory Statement:
Exciting changes are coming to Yavapai County’s Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations! With the Zoning Ordinance having been originally adopted in 1968 and the Subdivision Regulations originally adopted in 1973, the current Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations are undergoing a much-needed update to align with evolving community needs, encourage sustainable development, and address emerging trends in land use and planning—all while preserving the unique rural character that defines Yavapai County.
This three-year initiative will shape the future of land use policies, and we want your input! Stay connected through this webpage to follow updates and learn how you can get involved in shaping the new Zoning Code and Subdivision Code that reflects the values and vision of our community.
