Wickenburg & Sedona-Oak Creek 2023 Tax Notices

Yavapai County has been notified that the Arizona Department of Revenue provided inaccurate ‘State Aid to Education’ tax reduction rates for Wickenburg School District and Sedona-Oak Creek School District. This error caused a small number of the 2023 tax bills to incorrectly calculate the tax reduction that is applicable only to properties classified as primary residences in those areas.

Yavapai County has fixed the reduction rate error and recalculated the 2023 tax bills in those areas only, resulting in reduced property tax bills for primary residences.

All property owners affected are being sent a letter from the Treasurer’s Office notifying them of the new 2023 tax amount due and to disregard the first mailed 2023 tax bill. Any payments already received towards these properties have been reapplied to the corrected balance due and refunds will be issued for any overpayments of the new total.
