The Yavapai County Constable for the Prescott Precinct covers the incorporated communities of Prescott, Prescott Valley, and Chino Valley as well as the unincorporated communities of Skull Valley, Williamson Valley, Walker, Groom Creak, Castle Canyon Mesa, Coyote Springs and Paulden.
The Prescott Precinct covers nearly 1500 square miles and serves over 100,000 people.
There have been many interesting and colorful figures who have held the office of Constable for the Prescott Precinct, including Virgil Earp-who was the Constable of Prescott Precinct in 1879.
Fees and Service of Process
FEE SCHEDULE
A deposit of $150.00 is required in the form of cash, cashier's check or money order for any process to be served, EXCEPT protective orders.
All deposits must be made out to Prescott Constable.
Fees will be deducted from the deposit and the balance will be refunded back by check. Please do not mail cash.
When obtaining protective orders, writs, eviction actions and other processes issued from the Prescott Justice Court, the process and deposit may be left with the court clerk.
Processes for service may also be dropped off or mailed to the Prescott Constable's office, located at 255 East Gurley St., Prescott, AZ 86301.
Warrant Program
The Constable for the Prescott Precinct services all warrants issued out of the Prescott Justice Court. If you have received a letter advising you of an outstanding warrant, you should immediately turn yourself in to the court on any Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at 12:30 pm to be seen by the judge. Failure to turn yourself in will result in your arrest.
